This Privacy Policy explains how Baba'de collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use this website or our reservation, gift-voucher and newsletter services. It should be read alongside our Cookie Policy.
Who we are

Information we collect
- Reservation details you provide through our booking system — your name, email, phone number, party size, date and any notes;
- Gift-voucher purchase details, where you buy a voucher;
- Your email address, if you sign up for our newsletter;
- Messages you send us by email or through the site;
- Limited technical and usage information collected through cookies and, where you consent, analytics — see our Cookie Policy.
Why we use it, and our lawful bases
- To take and manage your reservation, including confirmations and reminders — performance of a contract;
- To process and fulfil gift-voucher purchases — performance of a contract;
- To respond to your enquiries and run and secure the website — our legitimate interests;
- To send you our newsletter, and to use analytics cookies — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time;
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: ResDiary for reservations; our gift-voucher provider (VoucherConnect) for voucher purchases; our website host and analytics providers; and, if you subscribe, our email/newsletter provider. Payment card details are processed securely by our booking and voucher providers and are not stored by us. We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (for example the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, reservation records for a reasonable period after your visit, and financial records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (for example for the newsletter or analytics). To exercise any of these rights, email us at maria@babade.ie.
