Babade’s is a sister restaurant to Dede’s our 2 Star Michelin restaurant.

Our restaurant is inspired by a love of good food created using the wonderful fresh produce of West Cork, a love of sharing with our greater family and an appreciation of good times.

Family are intrinsic in the fabric of our restaurant, the building is owned by my Sister and her Husband, they have worked very hard to create Babade’s and we would not be open without them. The building has been completely renovated and upgraded.

The building has a great heritage of wonderful dining experiences and has been a restaurant for many, many years before us. Chef Ahmet Dede earned his first Michelin star in the building.

The very name itself expresses our ethos, it is named firstly after Aleyna, Ahmet’s daughter, it is the name that she calls her Grandmother, Dede is Turkish for Grandfather and baba is Turkish for Father, Baba is also Irish for baby so Baby Dede’s.
